TEXTILE COLLECTIONS

TdHF-AL68 has 142 containers on the Haut-Rhin. The items collected are: clothing, household linen, shoes, accessories.
30 volunteers and 2 part-time employees empty the containers every week. The collected items are given to the integration company Relais Est which pays us per tonne reported. The collection activity by TdHF-AL68 made it possible to create 20 positions at Relais Est which reuse and recycle textiles, even damaged ones!

Act far away, among the most disadvantaged populations, but also act here against exclusion! This dual desire corresponds well to the approach undertaken by Terre des Hommes France AL68.

Our textile containers are distributed throughout the Haut-Rhin department in 3 geographical zones (Colmar, Guebwiller and Mulhouse). On average, we collect 900 tonnes of textiles per year.

Our Sales Premises

A small part of the clothing that is generously donated to us directly at our headquarters or in our sales premises is sold at low prices or given to people in need here (with proof from the competent services) directly by TdHF-AL68.

Our sales premises in Mulhouse - Colette LEY

The Mulhouse sales premises named in 2019 with the name “Colette Ley” in homage to one of our volunteers is run by a team of around ten volunteers who take turns following a well-established schedule (sorting of items left by people during opening hours of the premises, labeling, putting on hangers, storage & sales).

THE SOLIDARITY CAMPAIGN

Every year, between the start of the school year and the Christmas holidays, TdHF-AL68 organizes a Solidarity Campaign around a country or a theme linked to development.

In 2023 our theme is "Girls' rights: a major issue for equality". Focus on child marriage as a consequence of gender inequality and as a cause of the violation of girls' fundamental rights.
We will highlight the different inequalities that girls experience in the world on a daily basis, we will see several girls' rights violated. This campaign is done through a participatory presentation, and for young people aged 14 and over through our game “Step Forward”

PARTNERSHIP WITH LE RELAIS EST

The Relais EST

Le Relais is a network of companies that has been working for 30 years to integrate people in situations of exclusion, through the creation of sustainable jobs. A member of Emmaüs France and the Inter Réseaux de la Fiber Solidaire (IRFS), he carries within him the values of solidarity and generosity defended by Abbé Pierre. It strives to fight against the causes of exclusion, basing its action on the conviction that the return to employment of people in difficulty is a way of helping them preserve their dignity, regain their financial autonomy and their place in the society. To do this, he developed several economic activities, which enabled him to create more than 2,200 jobs.
